Pairs of Spring–Summer Sneakers I’d Actually Buy

I didn’t buy six new pairs of sneakers (I wish) — but I did spend an unreasonable amount of time looking at them, trying on a few, stalking how they look on other people IRL, and narrowing it down to what I’d actually invest in.

This is my short list. These are the styles I’d wear on repeat — with dresses, jeans, shorts, whatever — all spring and summer.

1. Massimo Dutti

I tried these on in-store and immediately loved how they looked with a long black skirt I was already wearing. They’re lightweight, shiny in that quiet-luxury way, and just different enough to feel cool without being flashy. Would 100% wear these on city days or low-key nights out.

2. H&M

You always need a basic pair — something clean, minimal, and easy to beat up a little. These ones look great with anything and are surprisingly sleek for the price. I held them in my hands and was impressed by how structured they felt. Classic done right.

3. Adidas

I saw someone wearing these with a white cotton dress at a flea market and immediately saved the look in my brain. The burgundy feels richer than black or navy, and the gum sole is such a nice detail. I haven’t tried them on yet, but they’re high on my wishlist.

4.Nike

Tried these on randomly while waiting for someone — and was shocked by how light and comfy they are. The lavender color sounds bold, but in real life it’s soft and super wearable. These would be perfect with wide-leg jeans or even a grey matching set.

5. Alohas

Didn’t expect brown sneakers to feel so elevated. The suede finish and shape make them feel a bit more “intentional,” if that makes sense. Like you planned the look. I saw them in person on someone at a café and immediately opened a new tab to find them.

6. Onitsuka Tiger

The only ones I haven’t tried or seen IRL — but I’ve had them saved forever. They’re everywhere in all the right ways, and I love how slim they are. The off-white and green combo feels retro but still modern. These would probably be the ones I wear with dresses most.

So, which ones would I actually get?

If I had to start with two: the silver for everyday with a twist, and the burgundy for summer city outfits. But honestly? All six bring something different — and I’d wear every one of them.
